The Employment Pass (EP) is Singapore's work pass for foreign professionals, managers, and executives seeking employment in Singapore. It is valid for up to 2 years for first-time applicants.
Eligibility
- A job offer in a managerial, executive, or specialized role
- Fixed monthly salary of at least SGD 5,000 (higher for financial sector)
- Acceptable qualifications (recognised degree, professional qualifications)
COMPASS Framework
From September 2023, all new EP applications are assessed under the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS), which evaluates salary, qualifications, diversity, and local employment.
