USA F-1 Student Visa
Required documents: Valid Passport, Form I-20 from US Institution, DS-160 Confirmation, SEVIS Fee Payment Receipt, IELTS/TOEFL Score, University Acceptance Letter, Bank Statements, Sponsor Letter, Academic Transcripts
The F-1 visa allows international students to enter the United States for full-time academic study at an accredited college, university, seminary, conservatory, academic high school, or language training program.
Requirements
- Acceptance letter (Form I-20) from a SEVP-certified US institution
- Proof of sufficient financial support for tuition and living expenses
- English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL)
- Strong ties to home country to prove non-immigrant intent
- Valid passport with at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
Work Rights
F-1 students may work on-campus up to 20 hours per week during the semester. After graduation, students may apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) for 12 months (up to 36 months for STEM fields).
