UK Skilled Worker Visa

Required documents: Valid Passport, Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from UK employer, IELTS Certificate (B1 level), TB Test Results (if applicable), Bank Statements (last 3 months), Educational Certificates, Criminal Record Certificate

The UK Skilled Worker Visa replaced the old Tier 2 (General) work visa. It allows skilled workers from outside the UK to come and work for a UK employer for up to 5 years, after which you may be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

Eligibility Criteria

  • A job offer from a UK employer with a valid sponsor licence
  • The job must be at RQF level 3 or above (equivalent to A-level)
  • Salary must meet the minimum threshold (generally £26,200 per year or the going rate for the occupation, whichever is higher)
  • English language proficiency (B1 level)
